Interim Director


Deborah Donnini Crane has more than 20 years of experience within Student Life including Student Activities, Housing and Greek Life, and Career Services.    Deborah has presented numerous workshops for students at Pacific and at local high schools on resume writing, interviewing skills, networking, and job search strategies.  She also teaches a Political Science Career Class in the College of the Pacific.  Deborah is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE).  She currently serves on the MPACE Executive Board as the Director of Education and Research.  Deborah co-authored an article titled, "Student Social and Emotional Competence in the Hiring Process", which was published in the April 2011 NACE Journal.  She is also a certified practitioner of the Meyer's Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory.  Deborah holds a bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in educational administration from the University of the Pacific.

Caroline Herrod has over 10 years experience in career counseling and has worked at University of the Pacific's, Career Resource Center since 2005.   Prior to entering the counseling world, Caroline spent 3 years as a recruiter for a scientific staffing agency where she actively reviewed resumes, interviewed candidates, and hired employees for a variety of positions.  Caroline has an MA degree in Career Development from JFK University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Davis.  She is also a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), Instructor and has trained other GCDF's on how to discuss career development topics with their clients.  She is certified in the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).  Her professional affiliations include the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and the National ACademic ADvising Association (NACADA).

Kaye Mooney
Community Outreach Specialist

Kaye Mooney came to University of the Pacific in 1979. She has spent her career at Pacific in departments including the College of the Pacific Dean's office, the Internship/Experiential Education Program and currently in the Career Resource Center as a member of the Employer Relations Team.  .  Kaye strives to build strong relationships with faculty and the local community.  Her work includes meeting and assisting employers in the development of their internship, job and volunteer opportunities for Pacific students and alumni She also serves as Director on the 2013 United Way of San Joaquin County Board of Directors, Chair, Western Region, 2013 National Society of Experiential Education (NSEE) and Co-Chair, 2013 Pacific's Community Outreach Board.    In October 2012, Kaye graduated from the National Society of Experiential Education Experiential Education Academy receiving a leadership award representing significant achievement and contributions as a national leader in advancing experiential education as a field and as a profession.

Christine Haruta
Employer Relations & Marketing Specialist

Christine Haruta is an Employer Relations & Marketing Specialist for the Career Resource Center at University of the Pacific.  She has a B.A. degree in Radio/TV Broadcasting and has worked in the marketing and advertising industries as a copywriter, media buyer, sales associate, and marketing assistant.  Christine currently collaborates with recruiters to develop full-time, part-time and internship opportunities in industries including, marketing, advertising, public relations, the arts, media, communications technology, travel/hospitality, retail, professional sports, real estate, insurance, banking /financial services, and green/solar energy.  Christine is also responsible for developing and overseeing the marketing message and the media used to promote the Career Resource Center which includes fliers, email and social media.  She is the Editor in Chief of "Career Central" newsletter and a regular contributor to the Career Resource Center's blog.  Christine is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE).  She is currently serving on the MPACE Communications Committee and assists in maintaining the organization's Facebook page.  Christine also hosts presentations on developing a professional online presence and how to navigate LinkedIn.

Ana Argueta
Operations & Budget Specialist

Ana Argueta is originally from Guatemala.  She joined the Career Resource Center team in 2004 where she has become an integral part of the CRC's day-to-day operations and provides a variety of services, including Front Desk coordination, student worker and receptionist supervision and training, office operations, budget administration, and CRC event planning.  She is known for her customer service and student centered approach to her work.  Ana has a passion for diversity and inclusion and co-facilitates Visions, Inc. trainings at Pacific.  She also uses her event planning skills to support the Division of Student Life's Diversity and Community Engagement initiatives.  Ana is a member of the American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP).

Austin Ogan

Born and raised in the Central Valley, Austin Ogan has been working for University of the Pacific since 2011. Austin values his role in the Career Resource Center, and enjoys helping assist students through their career development process. He is also an Executive Board Member of the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) and serves as their Secretary. Austin sits on a various amount of other committees, including the SAC Scholarship Committee and the Community Outreach Committee. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in Management at University of the Pacific.

Kelley Graham
Career Counselor

Kelley Graham graduated with a Master of Science degree in counseling with an emphasis in career counseling.   She spent three years working as a Career Center Technician for two Sonoma County high schools and facilitated college preparation groups and curriculum for various Sacramento high schools prior to coming to the University of the Pacific, Kelley was a student athlete and transfer student.  She has working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and is also an advocate for Veteran's services.  As a career counselor, she advises students on various topics ranging from resume and cover letter reviews to networking and job search strategies (to name a few).

Bob Bechill
Employer Relations Specialist

Bob Bechill is an Employer Relations Specialist for the Career Resource Center. He has a BS in Geography from Frostburg State University and an MS in Management (Transportation and Logistics) from the Naval Postgraduate School. A 27 year United States Navy veteran (Bob retired as a Captain in the Navy Supply Corps), Bob joined the Career Resource Center staff in 2013 after a 12 year second career in Adult and Continuing Education. Bob has now embarked on his third career with primary emphasis on matching great employers with equally great Pacific students, recent graduates an alumni.
