University of the Pacific is part of a diverse and dynamic local community. In recognition that the University's future is tightly intertwined with the future of the Central Valley region, we have sharpened our focus on community engagement through the launch of the Beyond Our Gates campaign. This ambitious initiative aims both to prepare individuals for responsible leadership in their careers and their communities, as well as to work with our neighbors at improving the social and economic wellbeing of our region. The University is strengthening existing outreach programs - including dental clinics and health fairs, literacy workshops and sports camps - and is working with a broad range of community partners to develop new ones, especially around education, an area that is central to our shared future.
